Symptom / Description

Motor speed sensor (tacho) fault

Root Cause

The control board is not receiving a speed signal from the motor. The tacho coil on the motor may be dislodged, faulty, or have a broken wire.

Repair Instructions

Inspect the tacho generator on the end of the motor. Check its wiring and connections. Test the tacho coil for continuity. Replace the motor if the tacho is faulty and not a separate part.
