Electroline EP

Electroline error code EP indicates: Electroline Total NoFrost & MultiFlow Refrigerator-Freezer: Diagnostic fault code EP registered by the microcomputer controller. Compressor inverter intelligent power module IPM fault trip, overcurrent or desaturation.

The primary root cause for Electroline code EP is: System architecture (Electroline hermetic rotary compressor, dynamic air circulation fan, electronic damper, and 5 kΩ NTC thermistors): compressor BLDC motor winding shorted to ground or shorted IGBT semiconductor transistor. Metrological test specification: compressor 3-phase winding resistance 8.5 Ω to 12.0 Ω identical across all three pins U-V-W ± 5%..

To resolve error code EP: Disconnect mains power before servicing. Unplug the harness at the main PCB and use a calibrated digital multimeter: unplug inverter connector at compressor; measure resistance between each pin pair U-V, V-W, W-U. Inspect contacts for pin oxidation or loose terminals. Replace defective part if out of tolerance, re-energize and clear error: press and hold the Eco and Fast Freeze buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the control panel emits two confirmation beeps.

Resetting power (unplugging for 5–10 minutes) clears temporary memory errors. Winding to earth: >20MΩ (OL).. Expected nominal reading is 15Ω–25Ω (Run C-R), 20Ω–35Ω (Start C-S), 200Ω–400Ω (Defrost Heater). PTC Relay: 10Ω–30Ω at 25°C.. Tolerance: ±10%.
