Novomatic RF09

Novomatic error code RF09 indicates: Novomatic KG / KS Series Combi Refrigerator & Upright Freezer Range: Diagnostic fault code RF09 registered by the microcomputer controller. Cooling performance failure; compressor runs continuously for over 120 minutes without reaching safe low temperature.

To resolve error code RF09: Disconnect mains power before servicing. Unplug the harness at the main PCB and use a calibrated digital multimeter: check condenser temperature (warm vs cold); measure compressor running current with clamp meter; inspect sealed system with leak detector. Inspect contacts for pin oxidation or loose terminals. Replace defective part if out of tolerance, re-energize and clear error: turn mechanical thermostat knob to Off (position 0), unplug power cord for 5 minutes, reconnect and rotate thermostat back to setting 3.
