Humidity sensor fault in wine cooler.
The humidity control sensor has failed or has a wiring issue.
Inspect the wiring to the humidity sensor. Test the sensor for correct operation. Replacement of the sensor is likely required.
Heating element fault in wine cooler.
The heating element used to raise the temperature in the wine cooler is not working.
Check the heating element for continuity. Inspect the control board relay that activates the heater. Replace the faulty component.
Freezer high-temperature alarm.
Freezer temperature has exceeded the safe limit for an extended period.
Check for door ajar, excessive frost buildup blocking air flow, or condenser coil cleanliness. If causes are ruled out, it indicates a cooling system problem.
Refrigerator high-temperature alarm.
Refrigerator temperature is too high.
Ensure the door is sealed properly. Check for items blocking air vents inside the compartment. Verify the temperature setting is correct. Allow time to cool after loading groceries.
Compressor startup failure.
The compressor is failing to start, possibly due to a faulty relay, capacitor, or the compressor itself.
Test the start relay and run capacitor. Check for proper voltage to the compressor. If components are good, the compressor may be seized.
Compressor running continuously without reaching temperature.
Could be a sealed system issue like a refrigerant leak, or a faulty sensor providing incorrect data.
Verify all sensors are reading correctly. Check for frost buildup on evaporator. If no obvious cause, a certified technician must check the sealed system for leaks or blockages.
Inverter board communication error.
The main control board cannot communicate with the inverter board that controls the variable speed compressor.
Check the wiring harness between the main board and the inverter board. If wiring is secure, either the inverter or the main board is faulty and requires professional diagnosis.
Liebherr C4: Cooling circuit or defrost system anomaly in Refrigerator / Freezer; compartment temperature deviation.
The inverter board is reporting that the compressor is not running at the commanded speed, or not running at all.
This could be an issue with the inverter board or the compressor windings. A technician will need to test both components.
Liebherr CL: Door lock safety interlock fault in Refrigerator / Freezer; door switch contact fails to close or open.
The child lock feature has been activated.
Press and hold the designated child lock button (often marked with a key or lock symbol) for 3-5 seconds to deactivate it.
Audible alarm sounds and an icon may flash.
The refrigerator or freezer door has been left open for more than 60 seconds.
Close the door firmly. Check for obstructions preventing the door from sealing. Verify the door switch is functioning correctly.
Main zone sensor fault in wine cooler.
The primary temperature sensor for the main storage area has failed.
Test the resistance of the main zone's NTC sensor and inspect its wiring. Replace the sensor if out of specification.
Fault with the ambient temperature sensor.
The sensor that measures the room temperature is faulty. This sensor helps regulate the cooling cycle.
Test the resistance of the ambient sensor. Check its wiring. Replace the sensor if it is defective.
Refrigerator evaporator sensor fault.
The sensor attached to the refrigerator's evaporator coil is faulty.
Access the evaporator area, test the sensor's resistance, and check its connections. Replace the sensor if necessary.
Oven temperature sensor failure.
The oven's main temperature probe (NTC sensor) is open or shorted.
Disconnect power. Access the sensor inside the oven cavity, disconnect it, and measure its resistance. It should be around 1080 Ohms at room temperature. Replace if faulty.
Communication error between user interface and power module.
The data cable connecting the display board to the main control board is loose, damaged, or one of the boards has failed.
Inspect and reseat the communication cable. Check for damage, especially at the hinge. If cable is fine, one of the electronic boards needs replacement.
Oven door lock mechanism error.
The door lock motor for the self-clean (pyrolytic) cycle has failed to engage or disengage.
Ensure the door is fully closed. Try running a short cycle to reset the lock. If the error continues, the lock assembly may need to be replaced.
Liebherr E8: Motor drive or inverter rotation anomaly in Oven / Microwave; drum/motor fails to spin at target RPM.
The fan that cools the oven's electronics is not running.
Check if the cooling fan is obstructed. Test for voltage to the fan motor when the oven is on. The fan motor may need to be replaced.
Liebherr E9: NTC temperature sensor signal out of range (open or short circuit) in Oven / Microwave.
The safety thermal cutout (thermostat) has been triggered due to excessive temperature.
Allow the oven to cool completely. The safety thermostat may reset. If the error persists, the thermostat itself, the cooling fan, or the main temperature sensor may be faulty.
Generic electronic fault.
Indicates a data corruption or failure in the EEPROM memory on the main control board.
Attempt a full power reset (unplug for 30 minutes). If the error persists, the main control board will need to be replaced.
Cooling system error in BioFresh compartment.
Faulty sensor in the BioFresh zone.
Check the BioFresh sensor (NTC sensor) for correct resistance. Inspect wiring. Replace sensor if out of spec.
Refrigerator sensor fault.
The refrigerator compartment's air sensor is defective or has a wiring issue.
Test the refrigerator air sensor's resistance. Check for loose connections or damaged wires. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.
Freezer sensor fault, temperature too warm.
The freezer evaporator sensor has failed or has an open/short circuit.
Check wiring to the sensor. Test the sensor's resistance (Ohm value). Replace the freezer evaporator sensor if it is defective.
Freezer compartment air sensor failure.
The air sensor in the freezer section is faulty.
Access and test the freezer air sensor. Verify wiring integrity. Replace the sensor if readings are incorrect.
General electronic control board failure.
A fault has been detected on the main power or control PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
Perform a power cycle (unplug for 10 minutes). If the error persists, inspect the control board for visible damage. The board may need to be professionally diagnosed or replaced.
Ice maker sensor or mechanism fault.
The ice maker sensor is defective, or the control module for the ice maker has failed.
Check the ice maker sensor wiring and connections. Test the sensor. If the sensor is good, the ice maker control module likely needs replacement.
Dishwasher water intake error.
Water is not entering the appliance. The water tap may be closed, the inlet hose kinked, or the water inlet valve filter is blocked.
Ensure the water supply is turned on fully. Check the inlet hose for kinks. Clean the filter located at the connection point of the hose to the tap.
Defrost system malfunction.
The defrost heater, defrost sensor, or defrost terminator has failed.
Manually defrost the unit. Test the continuity of the defrost heater and the resistance of the defrost sensor. Replace the faulty component.
Dishwasher diverter valve error.
The valve that directs water to the upper or lower spray arms is stuck or faulty.
Check the diverter valve motor for operation. Inspect for blockages. The valve assembly may need to be cleaned or replaced.
Temperature regulation fault in wine cooler.
A sensor responsible for temperature in a specific wine zone is faulty.
Identify the faulty zone. Test the corresponding NTC sensor and its wiring. Replace the sensor if necessary.
BioFresh-Plus sensor fault.
The temperature sensor for the dedicated BioFresh-Plus compartment is defective.
Locate and test the NTC sensor specific to the BioFresh-Plus drawer. Check wiring and replace the sensor if readings are incorrect.
