Motor fault or drum not turning
The motor is not functioning correctly. This is very often caused by worn out carbon brushes on the motor.
Inspect and replace the motor's carbon brushes if they are worn down (typically less than 1cm). Check motor wiring.
Brandt F8: Water/air heating failure in Hob / Cooktop; heating circuit does not reach set temperature.
The internal cooling fan is not working, which can lead to overheating of the electronics.
Check if the fan is blocked by debris. If it is clear but not spinning, the fan motor has likely failed and needs to be replaced.
Internal communication error
A fault in the communication bus between different internal electronic modules.
Try a hard reset by turning off the power at the breaker for 15 minutes. If the error persists, it indicates a hardware fault requiring service.
Heating circuit power draw fault detected on the heating element or switching relay.
The electronic module detected that the heating element is not drawing current when energized, caused by an open heating resistor or a defective relay on the power board.
Test the heating elements for continuity. If they are good, the fault lies with a power relay on the main control board, requiring board replacement.
Brandt F13: Operational cycle fault detected during Washing Machine program execution.
A critical error has been detected on the main electronic control board (PCB).
Disconnect the appliance from power for 15-20 minutes to attempt a reset. If the fault returns, the main board likely needs to be replaced.
Brandt SAFE: Door lock safety interlock fault in Oven / Microwave; door switch contact fails to close or open.
The child safety lock feature has been activated, disabling the oven controls.
Press and hold the designated button (often marked with a key or 'lock' symbol) for several seconds until 'SAFE' disappears from the display.
