Freezer Temperature Sensor Fault
The temperature sensor (NTC) inside the freezer compartment is faulty or disconnected.
Check the sensor's connection. If secure, the sensor will likely need to be replaced.
Refrigerator Temperature Sensor Fault
The temperature sensor (NTC) inside the fridge compartment is faulty or disconnected.
Inspect the sensor and its wiring. The sensor often needs to be replaced.
Freezer High Temperature Alarm
The temperature inside the freezer is too high. This could be due to the door being left open, a faulty door seal, or a cooling system failure.
Ensure the door is fully closed and the seal is clean and intact. If the alarm doesn't clear after a few hours, it may indicate a system fault.
Freezer/Fridge Compartment Sensor Fault
Indicates a fault with one of the temperature sensors, often displayed as a flashing 'C'.
Determine which compartment is not cooling correctly to identify the likely faulty sensor. Replacement of the sensor is usually required.
Bauknecht CF: Operational cycle fault detected during Refrigerator / Freezer program execution.
Communication has been lost between the main control board and the display panel.
Reset the appliance by unplugging it for 10 minutes. If the error returns, it points to a faulty connection or a failed board.
Bauknecht E1: Water inlet / filling timeout in Dishwasher; appliance fails to fill to minimum operational level.
Water leak detected in the base tray of the dishwasher.
Disconnect power, check for and repair any leaks. Dry out the base pan to reset the float switch.
Bauknecht E4: NTC temperature sensor signal out of range (open or short circuit) in Dishwasher.
Fault with the heating element or the NTC temperature sensor.
Check the continuity and connections of the heating element and NTC sensor.
Bauknecht F01: NTC temperature sensor signal out of range (open or short circuit) in Oven / Microwave.
The oven's NTC temperature probe is defective (open or shorted circuit).
Disconnect power and replace the NTC temperature sensor probe inside the oven cavity.
Water Leak Detected / Aquastop Activated
A leak has been detected in the base of the appliance, activating the flood protection switch.
Unplug the appliance, check for leaks in the base pan. Tilt the machine to reset the float switch once the leak is resolved.
Control Board Memory Error
EEPROM data corruption or failure on the main control board.
Perform a hard reset by turning off the power at the breaker for 15 minutes. If the error persists, the control board needs to be replaced.
Bauknecht F4: Water drainage failure detected in Dishwasher; drain pump cannot evacuate water within safety time limit.
Water is not being pumped out correctly. The drain pump or hose is blocked.
Clean the filters and check the drain pump for blockages. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or obstructed.
Door Lock Mechanism Fault
The door lock motor or switch has failed, or the lock is physically jammed.
Check the door for any obstructions. Inspect the door lock assembly for damage. The assembly may need replacement.
Motor Tacho Error / No Drum Rotation
The motor's speed sensor (tacho) is not sending signals to the control board, or the motor itself has an issue.
Check the motor's electrical connections, inspect the carbon brushes for wear, and verify the tacho coil is intact.
Bauknecht F07: Water/air heating failure in Washing Machine; heating circuit does not reach set temperature.
The heater control relay on the main circuit board is stuck or has failed, preventing the heater from being activated.
This usually requires inspection and potential replacement of the main control board.
Bauknecht F7: Water inlet / filling timeout in Dishwasher; appliance fails to fill to minimum operational level.
The flowmeter, which measures the amount of water entering the machine, is sending incorrect signals or has failed.
Check the wiring to the flowmeter. The flowmeter itself may be blocked or faulty and require replacement.
Bauknecht F08: Water/air heating failure in Washing Machine; heating circuit does not reach set temperature.
The heating element has an open circuit or has failed.
Unplug the machine and test the heating element for continuity with a multimeter. Replace the element if it's faulty.
Overfill or Excessive Foam
The pressure switch is stuck in the 'full' position, either due to a faulty switch, a blocked pressure hose, or excessive detergent causing foam.
Check the pressure switch and its hose for blockages. If clear, reduce detergent amount. If the fault persists, the switch may need replacement.
Sensor detects dirty water or is faulty
The Optical Water Indicator (OWI) sensor is detecting dirty water, or the sensor itself is soiled or defective.
Perform a thorough cleaning of all filters inside the dishwasher. If the error continues, the OWI sensor may need cleaning or replacement.
Bauknecht F11: Motor drive or inverter rotation anomaly in Washing Machine; drum/motor fails to spin at target RPM.
A communication breakdown has occurred between the main control unit and another component, like the motor or user interface.
Check all wiring harnesses and connectors between the electronic boards for secure connections. A board may be faulty.
Bauknecht F12: Water/air heating failure in Washing Machine; heating circuit does not reach set temperature.
A failure in the heating element or its wiring, potentially a short circuit.
Inspect the heating element and its wiring for damage. Test for continuity and shorts. Replace the element if necessary.
Bauknecht F13: Door lock safety interlock fault in Washing Machine; door switch contact fails to close or open.
The machine cannot lock the door, or the control board is not receiving the 'locked' signal from the door switch.
Ensure the door is closed firmly. Check the door lock mechanism for obstructions or damage, and inspect its wiring.
Control Board Memory Error
The EEPROM (memory chip) on the main control board has failed or become corrupted.
Try unplugging the appliance for 10 minutes to reset it. If the error returns, the control board will likely need to be replaced.
Motor Control Unit (MCU) Fault
An error has occurred on the electronic board that controls the drum motor, or the motor itself is faulty.
Check the connections between the main board, the motor control board, and the motor. The fault may require replacing the MCU or the motor.
Optical Water Indicator (OWI) Sensor Fault
The sensor that measures the turbidity (clearness) of the water is faulty.
Locate and clean the OWI sensor. If cleaning does not resolve the issue, the sensor needs to be replaced.
User Interface Communication Error
The main control board cannot communicate with the front control panel or display.
Check the ribbon cable and other wiring connecting the main board to the user interface panel for a secure fit.
Bauknecht F22: Motor drive or inverter rotation anomaly in Washing Machine; drum/motor fails to spin at target RPM.
No communication between the main control board and the motor.
Inspect all wiring between the control board and the motor. Check the motor itself for faults like worn brushes.
Bauknecht F23: Water level pressure sensor/switch frequency anomaly detected in Washing Machine.
An issue between the pressure switch and the heating element control. The pressure switch may be faulty.
Check the pressure switch for correct operation and inspect its hose for any blockages or kinks.
Overfill Condition Detected
The pressure switch has detected that the water level is too high and has engaged the drain pump as a safety measure.
Check the water inlet valve to ensure it's not stuck open. Also, inspect the pressure switch and its tube for faults.
Bauknecht F26: Water drainage failure detected in Washing Machine; drain pump cannot evacuate water within safety time limit.
The main board cannot activate the drain pump, possibly due to a faulty triac on the board or a wiring issue.
Check the wiring to the drain pump. If the pump and wiring are okay, the fault lies with the control board.
Bauknecht F27: Motor drive or inverter rotation anomaly in Washing Machine; drum/motor fails to spin at target RPM.
The drum is only turning in one direction. The motor reversing relay on the control board is faulty.
This error typically requires the replacement of the main control board.
